Hamilton Beach Single Serve Countertop Blender Review
The Hamilton Beach Single Serve is an inexpensive and very easy-to-use blender. It’s ideal for those times when you need to prepare a shake or an icy drink fast, but you don’t want to use a heavy blender.
Some of its features include stainless-steel blades and jar, for increased efficiency and durability, one-touch blending with pulse technology, and a travel lid, which allows for easy carriage of the blender wherever you go.
An interesting design feature is that the blender’s jar doubles as a serving cup, so you can drink your smoothies straight from the blender, without requiring a separate pot.
This option is very useful, especially when you’re in a hurry. At the same time, the safety mechanism of the 51108 Single Serve makes sure that you won’t spill a single drop while preparing your shake or smoothie.
This is also one of the most compact and lightweight blenders on the market, weighing only 2.4 pounds and being slim enough to fit in a small bag.
It’s also very easy to clean, especially due to its reduced dimensions, and it still provides you with the benefits of a 14-ounce cup, in which you can prepare anything from fruit smoothies, protein shakes, icy drinks and up to one portion of blended salad.
Anyway, due to the low price range of this product, you still have to expect a few downsides. One of them is the reduced motor power, which is not meant to be used for longer than 30 seconds.
Also, you shouldn’t expect the blender to deal very well with ice cubes or chunkier pieces of fruits, due to the fact that it was built for fast, single cups, and not for commercial usage. You still get more than what you paid for, though.
See it in action:
- One-touch blending capabilities
- Durable stainless-steel design
- Low cost
- Reduced power
- Lacks advanced functions
- Reported inability to deal with large pieces of fruit
