Stohlquist Child Nemo Life Jacket Review
Stohlquist makes some of the most comfortable and safe infant and toddler float jackets on the market.
Their Unisex Child Nemo jacket is the go-to float jacket for children 30-50 pounds who have outgrown the infant, less than 30 pound, jacket.
The Nemo jacket is made of neoprene, the same flexible and slim-fitting material used to make wetsuits, and the adjustable straps and buckles help you get more life out of it.
The grab loop on the back of the neck is a great addition for parents that most other jackets don’t include, and it’s made to stay open and afloat for easy access.
The neck float has two layers, which is excellent for children who have a harder time keeping their head afloat.
There are few complaints about this Nemo toddler life jacket, but an obvious downfall is its high price.
It’s not as affordable as the Speedo or Swimline jackets, so it’s up to you to decide if the added safety features are necessary or worth the extra money.
You also want to make sure you have the straps tight on this jacket; it can ride up a little when it’s put on too loose, so it is certainly something to keep in mind when fitting it to your child.
- Flexible and comfortable material
- Adjustable straps
- Two neck floats with grab loop
- A bit pricey for some
- Needs to be fitted tightly
