O’Neill Wetsuits Kids Life Vest Review
O’Neill has created one of the most effective and comfortable life jackets for children on the market.
Made for children 30 to 50 pounds, this is a USCG approved life vest that they can wear anywhere from on the boat with mom and dad to the swimming pool or lakes.
The comfort in this jacket comes from the lightweight neoprene material, the same material that is used on O’Neill’s wetsuits.
Kids usually hate the bulky and restrictive feeling of life jackets, so this one cuts out that complaint entirely.
It also has a strap that snaps between the child’s legs to ensure that the life jacket doesn’t lift over their head in the water.
The use of zippers and clips also lets parents rest assured that this life jacket is not going to come loose at all whether the child is swimming or just sitting on the boat.
Kids love the variety of colors, blue, yellow or pink, so they can pick out the one they look and feel cool wearing it.
O’Neill even researched the correct arm-hole size to make children more comfortable while wearing the jacket, and it seems that it really makes a difference in the comfort.
When your child grows, you can always upgrade to to the 50 to 90 pound life jacket made for bigger kids.
The only real downfall to this jacket is that the price is a little high.
Although, in this case, you’re paying for quality and a life jacket that can be handed down when your child outgrows it.
